How to Change the Password of the FTP Account in cPanel

To change the main root FTP account, you have to change the password of your cPanel account. However, if you need to change the password of a specific FTP account, follow this instruction. Log in to your cPanel account. In the Files section, click on FTP Accounts. Under the list of FTP accounts, click on Change Password and enter a new password. Alternatively, use the password generator to generate one. Click on Change Password. Now you can access FTP with your new password.

How to Download Files and Directories to Your Computer via FileZilla

You can download files from your website to your computer using the FileZilla Client. Open FileZilla FTP Client. Enter your FTP host, username, and password. You can use your cPanel username and password as your FTP user and password. Then click on Quick Connect. Enter your domain name in the Host field, such as ftp.example.com or example.com. On the right-hand side, inside the Filename box, select the files or directories you wish to download. You can press the CTRL key to choose multiple directories/files. Then right-click on the selection and press Download. It can take a few minutes to download. You can watch the progress.

How to Access or Connect to the FTP via FileZilla

You can access your FTP Account using the FileZilla FTP Client or any FTP Client. Open the FileZilla FTP Client. Enter your FTP host, username and password. You can use your cPanel login details as your FTP user and password. Enter your domain name such as ftp.example.com or example.com in the Host field. Click on Quick Connect. It will take a few seconds to connect. Then your website files will appear on the right side. You can now start using the FileZilla Client, manage your website, and upload/delete files from your website.

How to Change the FTP User Quota in cPanel

Follow these steps to change the FTP quota or set it to Unlimited. Log in to your cPanel account. In the Files section, click on FTP Accounts. Under the FTP Accounts list, click on Change Quota. FTP Quota: Specify the quota in numerical words or select Unlimited. Click on Change Quota.
